Interestingly, there are 822 known near-Earth asteroids with a diameter of 1 kilometer or more that -- compared to tiny, 3 meter-long 2011 CA7, that would have most likely burned up in the atmosphere anyway (assuming it wasn't a chunk of iron!)That's because iron is special and different, I guess.
